When Life becomes the Teacher (1): Breaking the Silence

When Life Pauses You: Returning with a New Perspective

You may have noticed that I’ve been quiet since late spring last year.
The silence wasn’t intentional, and it wasn’t because I had nothing to say. Life simply asked for my full presence - and it reshaped my inner landscape more than I could see at the time.

June arrived with the joy of new life.  July and August brought the weight of loss. Most of the summer I spent in German hospitals, sitting either beside my parting mother or beside my ailing father, navigating days that were tender, exhausting, and deeply human.

Because I stayed in Germany much longer than planned, something unexpected happened in parallel - moments of warmth with friends and extended family, unplanned reunions, small celebrations that softened the edges of the harder days. Life was holding both ends of the spectrum at once.

When I finally returned to India, the work I had postponed came rushing back in. Two intense months followed, filled with content re-design, delivery, deadlines, and visitors from Germany. There was little space left for reflection, let alone for sharing publicly.

Now, just before returning to Germany again for Christmas, I feel a quiet readiness to re-enter the conversation. I want to speak again about how my life shapes the way I lead, the way I work, and what I bring into my practice at StrengthMiner® Consulting LLP.

This post marks
the beginning of a new series - reflections from a year that has transformed me, and perhaps has something to offer to others navigating their own thresholds.
