Living the Culture of a High-Performing Team

During a recent brainstorming session at my home with the StrengthMiner® Consulting LLP team I realized something important. We were not just sharing ideas, we were embodying the essence of a high-performing team. This insight came to me after reading "The Culture Code" by Daniel Coyle, where he highlights key behaviors of effective teams.

1. Physical Proximity: We sat in close circles, an arrangement fostering unity and creativity.

2. Eye Contact and Physical Touch: Our discussions were rich with meaningful glances and affirmations through handshakes, hugs, and hi-fives.

3. Energetic Exchanges: The house was buzzing with passionate conversations, laughter and mutual respect.

4. Active Listening: Each voice was heard, each idea given space to grow without interruption.

5. Humor and Courtesy: Our interactions were light-hearted yet filled with gratitude for each other's contributions, big or small.

Reflecting on these behaviors, I realized our team naturally aligns with the markers of high performance as outlined by Coyle. As hashtag#intercultural practitioners and hashtag#leadership coaches, our cohesion and trust in each other is essential.

I am incredibly grateful for my team. Together, we are not just teaching concepts; we are living them. This is what makes our work not just effective but authentic.
